Introduced in the Year 2 curriculum as: "Order and arrange combinations of mathematical objects in patterns and sequences"

We can arrange objects into patterns and sequences. A pattern is

anything that repeats itself. Patterns follow rules. Sequences happen

in a certain order.

Example 3:

The next shape in this sequence will be a red pentagon.


Example 4:

The next shape in this pattern will be a pink rod of 4 cubes followed by a dark blue rod of 3 cubes.
