Introduced in the Year 2 curriculum as: "Find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money"

There are lots of ways to show the same amounts of money.

Example 1:

10p =

1p × 10

or

5p × 2

Example 2:

40p =

20p × 2

or

10p × 4

20p x 5 totals £1

Example 4:

50p + 50p = 100p

£1 = 100p

Example 5:

20p x 5 = 100P

50p x 2 = 100p
