Money: converting from pounds to pence

Introduced in the Year 3 curriculum as: "Add and subtract amounts of money to give change, using both £ and p in practical contexts"

There are 100 pence (p) in 1 pound(?).

You never write both symbols.

?2.50p is wrong, you don't write the p


Example 1:

Something that costs ?4.25 costs 425p.


Example 2:

Something that costs ?0.50 costs 50p.
